Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team at UNC Health. As an Administrative Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure and maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials to departments.
  • Train and develop colleagues through verbal and written communication, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Coordinate complex scheduling of providers, staff, facilities, home care, and patients, ensuring seamless execution of critical meetings and medical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain basic financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Prepare complex forms, reports, presentations, and documents, requiring a high level of proficiency with software applications.
  • Procure and file records, research lost or missing records, and post information to records or ledgers in accordance with established procedures and systems.
  • Register patients, complete encounter forms, collect patient payments and insurance information, and make proper referrals to financial departments.
  • Represent UNC Health with internal and external entities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals.
  • Serve as a second-level response to customer inquiries and complaints, providing exceptional service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • One year of clerical or administrative experience preferred; experience in a healthcare setting a plus.
  • Strong customer focus, technical expertise, and ability to learn and master scheduling systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
