Position Overview
The Operations Specialist is a pivotal role within the School of Data Science and Society. This position encompasses dual responsibilities as a facilities coordinator and an administrative support specialist for the finance and operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Coordination: Oversee building access, liaise with university facilities personnel regarding maintenance issues, assist in executing space management strategies, and manage the facilities budget for the School.
- Administrative Support: Lead recruitment initiatives, coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, and provide executive administrative assistance to the Associate Dean for Finance & Operations.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from accredited institutions.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
This position typically operates within a standard work schedule, with potential for hybrid work arrangements, aligning with university policies. Employees are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from their assigned duty station.
