Early Childhood Case Coordinator

Location:
An opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Case Coordinator to join the Office of Early Childhood Services. The Case Coordinator serves as the liaison for Early Intervention (ages 3-5 years) students who require two or more related services as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This role involves organizing meetings with parents, service providers, and educational teams in compliance with IEP timelines.

Qualifications:
  • Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-12/Special Education PK-8 is required
  • Preferred: Valid PA certification in Early Childhood PK-4 (N-3)
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Special Education is preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in technology
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, maintain professionalism, and manage interactions in a dynamic environment
  • Must demonstrate empathy and understanding of children's needs and behaviors, while maintaining a supportive demeanor
  • Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions, complete tasks with minimal oversight, and perform basic calculations
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and exercise sound judgment in student interactions
  • Original clearance certificates from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI are required
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative during IEP meetings for all assigned students
  • Ensure all evaluation processes are completed in accordance with Special Education Regulations and timelines
  • Verify that the information in each student's IEP accurately reflects their annual goals
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, preschool staff, and related service providers
  • Collaborate with personnel from Comprehensive and Related Service Provider agencies
  • Support the transition of students from the Early Intervention Program to school-age programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or Program Administrator
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12 months (194 days/year)

Salary:
Master's, Step 1: $63,582/year
*Salary placement is based on experience and/or additional education beyond the Master's Degree.
