Job Overview
Solugenix is collaborating with a distinguished investment management firm in search of a Lead Infrastructure Solutions Engineer. This position offers a hybrid work model, providing flexibility in your work environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in managing enterprise-level infrastructure, including Virtualization, VMWare, and Windows server management.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the VMware product suite.
- 5+ years of proficiency in Windows operating systems, covering installation, configuration, and administration.
- Solid expertise in the VMware vSphere suite (version 7.0 and above).
- Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in a large-scale environment.
- Ability to deploy and configure ESXi and vCenter, as well as VMware ESXi with Virtual Center / Hyper-V.
- Proven experience in administering Dell EMC PowerEdge servers.
- Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and 2019.
- Strong skills in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Comprehensive understanding of Windows systems administration, configuration, maintenance, and operational support.
- Experience in security maintenance and emergency patching.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and F5 Big IP Load balancers.
- Understanding of cloud platforms; AWS certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse teams and audiences.
- Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and support of Compute infrastructure, focusing on vulnerability remediation, configuration management, capacity management, and provisioning.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Dell EMC PowerEdge servers.
- Configure, manage, tune, and optimize VMWare ESXI, vSphere, and vCenter, including performing upgrades.
- Act as a technical expert for resolving issues related to Compute infrastructure, including servers and virtualization.
- Analyze system-level logs and collaborate with vendors as necessary to address incidents and problems.
- Manage services including security vulnerability remediation, performance optimization, backup, recovery, licensing, and upgrades.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead performance testing initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Engage in Enterprise Service Management, including incidents, service requests, and change management related to VMWare and Windows.
- Participate in on-call support rotations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $150,000, depending on various factors such as position, location, education, and experience.
