Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of Microsoft Server infrastructure.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with information security policies.
  • Support annual security accreditation and maintain security standards throughout the year.
  • Develop and implement configuration settings to meet security requirements.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for resolving issues related to private or hosted infrastructure.
  • Participate in project lifecycles, representing IT interests and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Plan and communicate system changes effectively to team members.
  • Champion the development and implementation of best practices and policies for the IT Systems group.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and administrators.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure support.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server in both virtual and physical environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM, SCOM, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory management in a multi-domain environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server or Office 365 administration.
  • Ability to manage Group Policies effectively.
  • Proficient in PowerShell or similar scripting languages for administrative tasks.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills for technical processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to change control protocols.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in environments with stringent security standards.
  • Familiarity with SSO or Microsoft Federated services.
  • Experience managing cloud solutions, both public and private.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to analyze data for informed decision-making regarding infrastructure.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VMWare, ITIL, or other relevant engineering certifications.
