Area Systems Technical Lead

The Area Systems Technical Lead will be responsible for assisting in the development of technicians and ensuring that major projects in the area have the technical resources to successfully be deployed. This role will also involve a position in a service shop, assisting with day-to-day technical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with shop managers and technicians to conduct, facilitate, and execute training plans, creating plans that are collective but also tailored to each technician's level.
Develop ongoing training standards and minimums to progress from each technical level, reviewing technician knowledge to ensure standards are met for advancement.
Provide feedback to the technician supervisor on the technician's status with meeting the standards, assist with scheduling, and conduct on-the-job training.
Conduct senior technician meetings to discuss technical topics, assist service managers/lead technicians in reviewing major projects in presale and post-sale, and attend weekly shop manager Teams meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in RF electronic technologies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
More than 8 years of related experience and/or training in maintaining and troubleshooting complex communications systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to work with a variety of different individuals.
Three to five years' experience in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory, with the ability to use computer and program, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair complex communication systems.
Experience in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and programming of wireless communication equipment, such as 2-way radios, transmitters, receivers, and antennas.
Knowledge of radio repair, mobile installations, DC, AC, and RF Theory as it applies to wireless communications, and valid driver's license.
Certifications and Licenses:
A variety of certifications and licenses will be required, and ongoing learning will be important for this role. Some valuable certifications include FCC GROL, CET/CETsr/CETma, ETA, and Motorola R56.
