Job Summary:

Audacy is seeking a skilled Technical Engineer to join our team in Portland. As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing all aspects of our technical facilities, including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite, STL, computers, and data networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antennas, satellite downlinks, automation systems, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone systems, and related other equipment.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of all aspects of technical facilities, including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite, STL, computers, and data networks.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all technical equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of all technical systems.

Requirements:

  • At least four years of college or technical school education and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to multitask in a multiple project environment.
  • IT and network knowledge and experience.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and documentation software applications.
  • Experience with computer-based audio storage systems (WideOrbit/VoxPro preferred).
  • Experience with digital audio and audio streaming.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and IT systems, including networking and proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Experience with modern digital audio systems, including WideOrbit, VoxPro, and Audio Over IP.
