Position Overview:
At Nightwing, our mission is to support national security and enhance global safety through innovative technology and engineering excellence. We are seeking a dedicated Material Program Manager to join our team, focusing on classified supply chain initiatives within the electronic warfare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee material risks and opportunities, providing insights at both customer and program levels.
- Formulate and implement supply chain strategies and operational plans.
- Design, manage, and execute the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and Material Program Plan (MPP).
- Deliver comprehensive supply chain support for various program phases, ensuring compliance and adaptability.
- Maintain overall responsibility for supplier management, including performance metrics and strategic agreements.
- Lead supply chain proposal activities, developing task descriptions and cost estimates.
- Identify and execute risk and opportunity plans to align with program goals.
- Foster small business participation opportunities within the supply chain.
- Monitor and proactively manage performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and operating plans.
- Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material-related activities.
- Implement Supplier Management Best Practices, focusing on risk mitigation and subcontract management.
- Utilize PRISM/SAP for effective supply chain management.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least five years of experience.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supplier and subcontract management.
- Knowledge of supply chain systems, procurement, and financial processes.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into actionable supplier directives.
- Expertise in material pricing, estimating, and proposal development.
- Experience managing technical requirements within budget and schedule constraints.
- Proficient in preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management.
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Familiarity with Integrated Product Team (IPT) environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to coordinate strategies and manage tactical execution effectively.
