Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial functions of the automotive division, including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and special analyses.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Lead the budgeting and business planning processes, including the development of financial forecasts and analyses.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with established legal and company policies.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and leadership on decision-making matters affecting the organization.
  • Assess and advise on the implications of long-term planning, new program introductions, and regulatory changes.
  • Drive improvements in processes to enhance financial operations and efficiency.
  • Oversee the calculation and distribution of sales commissions.
  • Conduct floor plan reconciliations and fulfill dealership controller responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Experience as a dealership controller is essential.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and strategic planning.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Superior analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with floor plan reconciliation is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of managerial finance and business planning.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing internal controls.
