Automotive Service Department Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Department Manager to oversee the operations of our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive service operations, including diagnostic procedures, repair techniques, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to maintain a consistent workflow and efficient operation of the automotive service department.
- Interact with customers to assess their vehicle repair needs, provide estimates, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Report financial performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins, to the District Manager.
- Manage the check-in and billing processes for customers, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Oversee the scheduling of automotive service appointments and allocate resources effectively to meet demand.
- Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve service offerings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive service industry, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of automotive service operations, including diagnostic procedures, repair techniques, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, employees, and senior management.
- Proficient in using automotive service software and tools for scheduling, billing, and inventory management.
