  • Position Overview
    • The Biomedical Technician II is accountable for ensuring the optimal performance of medical devices through preventive maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and overall equipment management. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with patients, visitors, hospital personnel, physicians, and fellow biomedical technicians. Upholding the vision of the hospital, which focuses on enhancing the quality of childhood for all children, is paramount. To support the hospital's mission, the technician must demonstrate Integrity, Innovation, a Commitment to Personal Growth, and a strong Commitment to Children.
  • Educational Qualifications
    • Completion of an Associate degree or certificate program in Biomedical Equipment Technology (2-year level).
  • Professional Experience
    • A minimum of two years of experience in Clinical Engineering is required.
    • Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

      1. Bachelor's Degree in a Health-Related Field

      2. AAMI Biomedical Equipment Technician Certification (CBET)

      3. Documented Training in Equipment Service specific to the specialized equipment utilized by the organization, as determined by the Director of Biomedical Engineering.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Relevant certifications and licenses in the field are preferred.
