Job Description

Job Summary: The Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision: Oversee and guide the operations of the clerical, medical records, call center, patient access liaison, and front desk departments.
  • Operations: Create and maintain reporting systems to monitor phone performance, productivity, uninsured patient programs, and medical records functions. Aid direct reports in creating and maintaining high-quality training programs for new hires. Serve as a key leader for HIPAA compliance and perform annual training to all staff.
  • Organizational Leadership: Serve as a senior leader in the organization, working collaboratively with other senior leaders to maintain operational excellence. Coach and mentor employees beyond departments supervised.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's in Public Health or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervision and leadership experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a medical practice or institution; FQHC experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer-facing experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurances and billing practices.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to do hands-on work, including simple repairs and covering for staff when out.
  • Experience in problem-solving and managing change.
  • Experience in Christian ministry; exhibiting spiritual maturity and servant leadership.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Esperanza Health Center has mandated all workforce members on-site at any EHC location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19. This also includes contractors and EHC volunteers. This vaccine mandate is in alignment with applicable local, state, and federal mandates.
