Restaurant Leadership Opportunity:

This role is under the direct supervision of the Area Director of Operation or Executive General Manager and provides restaurant leadership in accordance with established company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Restaurant Environment
    • Ensure prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines
    • Build a culture using the Vision / Mission statement to guide People, Profits, and Guest Experience
    • Ensure the immediate response and correction of all verbal, email, and social media guest complaints
    • Ensure a high-quality guest experience by employing tools such as table touching and proactivity in resolving potential guest issues
    • Teach and enforce alcohol awareness and build a positive relationship with local authorities by seeking their assistance in alcohol related issues
    • Maintain adequate inventory levels
    • Ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards
    • Effectively oversee/schedule associates to meet sales demands
    • Maintain effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards
    • Promote and manage restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Manage community marketing, bringing the neighborhood back to the "Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar"
    • Actively participate in the community to increase sales and enhance the awareness of PFDG
    • Implement and execute all incentive contests and educate associates on promotions and new menu offerings
  • Manage Assistant Manager, Associate Manager(s), Team Lead(s) and Team Member performance
  • Maintain Team Member and administrative functions as related to a manager role
  • Effectively manage Front of the House and Back of House operations
  • Responsible for all opening and closing procedures of the restaurant
  • Manage standards and commitment to quality
  • Responsible for the managing of all daily and weekly reports
  • Foster teamwork by building effective teams committed to restaurant and organizational goals
  • Operate with a high degree of Professionalism, Ethics and Integrity, maintaining a role-model image
  • Development of Assistant General Manager, Associate Manager(s), Team Lead(s), and Team Members for growth within the company
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: Back of House and Front of House Associate Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leads and Team Members

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent education and/or experience;
  • Three to five (3-5) years of guest service experience;
  • Three to five year of prior management experience, preferably in a casual dining setting
  • Demonstrated ability to grow sales and manage a Profit & Loss Statement
  • Positive attitude and the ability to handle highly difficult guest interactions;
  • 21+ years old
  • ServSafe Alcohol and Food Certification a plus
  • Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills in English is required
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus
  • Reliable transportation and Government Issued Driver's license required
  • Ability to work 50-55 hour work weeks and flexible schedule consisting of mornings, mid-day shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass company background check

Physical Demands:

  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel and frequently lift as much as 50 pounds, several times over
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees
