This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of Corporate Partnerships within AEG. The ideal individual will pinpoint strategic avenues to synchronize Partner activities with AEG's objectives, thereby amplifying the outreach of Partners. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional client service and provide solution-oriented insights to foster the growth of Partner relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the primary 'Engagement Manager' for both existing and prospective Corporate Marketing Partners; facilitating connections between Partners and various divisions within AEG, including Public Relations, Social Responsibility, Growth and Legislative Affairs, Events, Integrated Sales, Marketing, Consumer Products, and Legal to design and implement comprehensive sponsorship activation strategies.
• Guarantee the fulfillment of all contractual commitments, leverage research insights to enhance programming, and proactively identify new opportunities to strengthen the Partner's affiliation with AEG while contributing to revenue growth.
• Provide daily guidance to Partners, crafting both short-term and long-term strategies, managing projects from conception through to promotional execution and assessment.
• Collaborate closely with Partners to strategize, develop, and implement national and on-site activation plans for major AEG events.
• Work in conjunction with Partners, internal digital teams, and media agencies to formulate strategic media initiatives through AEG's Controlled Digital Channels.
• Oversee the management of the Account Executive role, which includes conducting quarterly evaluations, mentoring, and assigning tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
• Completion of post-secondary education with a concentration in Business or Marketing.
• A minimum of 6 years of marketing experience in partnership or brand marketing, preferably with a brand, property, or agency, including direct experience in managing the development and execution of programs utilizing a professional sports property.
• This position demands a proactive, organized, adaptable, self-driven, and flexible individual capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and establishing daily priorities in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have experience in (i) engaging with various disciplines and levels within an organization, (ii) developing, presenting, and executing successful marketing campaigns, and (iii) managing a diverse range of tasks/projects simultaneously.
• A demonstrated passion for hockey and the sponsorship sector. Strong attention to detail, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to multitask effectively, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in digital tools, including social media, presentation software, tracking documents, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
• Strong analytical thinking skills, decision-making abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and consensus-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingualism (French) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
