The Server Associate works as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for guests at Early To Rise restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, using the Point of Sale (POS) system to input orders and manage transactions.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on menu items, wine service, and other relevant topics.
- Meet sales and customer satisfaction targets, contributing to the success of the restaurant and the company.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of wine and wine service, as well as menu items and ingredients.
- Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and credit transactions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent movement between areas of the restaurant.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Certifications:
- Food Handlers card and Responsible Alcohol Service Training (RAST) certification, or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions:
The Server Associate will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with frequent exposure to noise, heat, and physical activity. The ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.
