Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Cleaner/Porter to join our team at Pan American Properties. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our residential units and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. General Cleaning Tasks
  • Sweeping, Mopping, and Vacuuming Floors
    • Remove dirt, dust, and debris from floors using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques.
    • Mop hard surfaces and vacuum carpets and rugs.
  • Dusting and Polishing
    • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
    • Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
  • Trash Removal
    • Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins.
    • Dispose of waste in designated areas and replace liners.
  • Restroom Maintenance
    • Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, urinals, and other restroom fixtures.
    • Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Surface Cleaning
    • Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, including desks, countertops, and kitchen areas.
    • Clean walls and partitions.
    Specialized Cleaning Tasks
  1. Deep Cleaning
  • Perform thorough cleaning of specific areas or items, such as carpets, upholstery, and drapery, using specialized equipment and methods.
Window Washing
  • Clean interior and exterior windows, including frames and sills.
Floor Care
  • Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
  • Maintain floor surfaces by applying sealants and using floor care machines.
Maintenance and Safety
  1. Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Use and store cleaning chemicals properly to avoid accidents.
Inventory and Reporting
  1. Supply Management
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Order new supplies as needed.
Reporting
  • Report any damages, defects, or required repairs to supervisors.
  • Keep records of cleaning activities and inventory levels.
Other Duties
  1. Event Preparation and Cleanup
  • Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
  • Clean up after events.
Customer Service
  • Interact with clients, tenants, or employees to address cleaning needs and concerns.
Outdoor Cleaning
  • Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, such as sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances.
  • Remove litter, leaves, as necessary.

The duties of a Residential Cleaner/Porter are essential to the upkeep of our residential units and facilities, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment for all occupants.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cleaning and maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
