Key Responsibilities :

The Lead IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in a large-scale international Defense collaboration involving U.S. Services and allied partners. This position is essential for the strategic planning, construction, testing, implementation, and management of classified IT infrastructure. The responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market analysis and providing expert guidance on all infrastructure and services, supporting Systems, Network, COMSEC, and Telephony Engineering teams.
  • Designing IT infrastructure and service solutions that align with mission objectives, leveraging cutting-edge technologies while adhering to all relevant DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Collaborating with the administrative team to oversee the lifecycle of infrastructure and services, ensuring optimal health and maintenance.
  • Assisting in planning and executing End of Life (EOL) strategies and data center migrations.
  • Regularly assessing performance and service usability to guarantee optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for administrative support teams and aiding in the creation of testing protocols, checklists, and other system health tools.
  • Managing documentation related to network architecture and configuration, including architectural design diagrams, engineering designs, engineering plans, COMSEC plans, component/software inventories, data flow diagrams, and SOPs for each classified network.
  • Offering insights on technology investments, emerging technologies, upgrades, and reconfigurations aimed at reducing operational costs, enhancing performance, or adapting to evolving user and coalition needs.

Qualifications :

  • An ACTIVE Top Secret (TS) clearance is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Proven experience in classified IT engineering.
  • Familiarity with classified multi-tenant cloud support services.
  • Hands-on experience in a 24/7 data center environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple competing priorities or strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in developing long-term infrastructure improvement or network lifecycle plans.
  • Background in data center migrations and new hardware/software installations.
  • Expertise in IT Governance and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience in a 24/7 National Security Operations Center (NSOC).
  • Proven track record in presenting modernization investments that lead to reduced operational costs and improved service delivery.
  • Leadership experience in IT engineering teams.
  • Understanding of leading cybersecurity practices and principles.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Information Security policies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
  • A solid grasp of DevOps concepts.
  • Experience with CONUS and OCONUS IT projects.
