Job Summary

Aircraft Worker at Amentum is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and inspecting aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an experienced Aircraft Mechanic or Lead. This role requires strong technical knowledge and skills in aircraft systems, maintenance directives, and data reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove and install aircraft components
  • Conduct functional tests of repaired components and systems
  • Inspect and identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair
  • Perform crash recovery duties
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of aircraft structures, systems, and components

Requirements

  • Qualification as Aircraft Worker is mandatory
  • Minimum of three years of experience in performing functions such as installing, inspecting, repairing or overhauling aircraft structures, systems, and components
  • Knowledge of Air Force supply procedures and the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials
  • Working knowledge of Air Force supply procedures to look up, place orders, receive and maintain parts and materials
  • Ability to travel in performance of duties
  • SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Remove/install F-15C engines
  • Remove and install jet fuel starting system (JFS)
  • Knowledgeable and able to remove and replace line replaceable units (LRU) and rig if required
  • Ability to become borescope qualified, blade blend certified, and engine run certified
