The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York are in search of a dedicated Science Educator for a full-time role.
The faculty member will contribute to the development of a Christian character in students by:
- Exemplifying their faith and love for God through actions and words.
- Showing profound respect for the individuality of each student.
- Encouraging students to coexist harmoniously in a diverse society.
- Instilling high self-esteem and self-respect among students.
A faculty member is expected to enhance their teaching capabilities and pursue professional development by:
- Engaging in graduate studies at a pace of six (6) credits annually until a Master's Degree is achieved, alongside attending relevant in-service training.
- Staying informed about advancements in their teaching discipline.
- Continuously refining classroom methodologies.
- Sharing their passion for learning with students.
- Developing a compassionate understanding of youth and their needs.
- Adhering to the guidelines set forth in the faculty handbook and directives from administration.
The Science Educator will familiarize themselves with the school's Mission Statement to contribute positively to its mission by:
- Providing unwavering support to the institution and its policies.
- Completing all duties associated with the teaching profession, both stated and implied.
- Working to enhance the school's public image.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a preference for candidates with at least two years of teaching experience.
- New York State certification is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
