Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Math and Science Educator to join our team at Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary School. As a 7th and 8th Grade Math and Science Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan units and lessons and develop expertise in implementing instruction.
  • Fulfill the school's mission to educate the whole child, mind, body, and spirit.
  • Take accountability for student learning and for meeting classroom performance goals.
  • Use tests, assessments, classroom performance, and other designated evaluation and diagnostic tools to assess the progress of students, and drive instruction and intervention.
  • Create and communicate with families of students in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and familiarity with New York State educational standards and requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional developments sessions to grow as an instructional leader.

Compensation

Compensation is based on the Federation of Catholic Teachers and Association of Catholic Teachers salary scale and ranges from $46,839 - $73,203.
