Job Title: Marriage & Family Therapist II - Behavioral Health Services

Job Summary:

The County of Santa Clara Behavioral Health Services Department is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Marriage & Family Therapist II to join our team. As a Marriage & Family Therapist II, you will provide intensive counseling, psychotherapy, case management, and treatment services to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with other staff members and community agencies to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive counseling, psychotherapy, case management, and treatment services to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct differential diagnosis and develop treatment plans that address the underlying causes of mental health issues.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Valid California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and community agencies.
  • Ability to provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Marriage & Family Therapist II will work in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and community-based programs. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
