Job Summary

We are seeking a highly trained and empathetic Licensed Therapist to join our team as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to empower them to secure lasting solutions to various relationship and behavioral issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment in all interactions with clients.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all interactions, both in-person and through electronic communication.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, comfortable, and well-organized work environment.
  • Schedule and conduct 45-60 minute sessions with individuals, couples, and families to improve mental health and well-being.
  • Promptly communicate with clients, staff, and community referral sources to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Complete intake assessments and progress notes for every session billed.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address client needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and supervision sessions to share knowledge, provide feedback, and support colleagues.
  • Manage client charts and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Notify the organization within 24 hours of any client-related incidents or concerns.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Professional Counseling or related field and licensed or pre-licensed in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, PhD, Associate MFT, Associate PCC, etc.).
  • Basic computer literacy to comply with department needs and expectations.
  • Maintain licensure requirements and complete continuing education as stated in the BBS Statutes and Regulations.
  • Clinical experience with children, teens, adults, and/or families with mental health issues (trauma, anxiety, depression, family issues, couples' issues, parenting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of strategies for examining, applying, and evaluating various techniques from cognitive-behavioral, child/adult attachment, play therapy, family systems, etc.
  • Maintain current malpractice insurance coverage, at a minimum of $1 million and a total yearly of $3 million.
