Job Summary

The District Sales Manager will work directly with members of the Sales Team to establish and manage programs that will train, lead, and develop Sales to accomplish established goals for the company, as well as maximize sales revenue and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales, Sales Director, and Distributor Sales team to accomplish established sales goals for the company.
  • Manage an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establish and manage effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise, and train sales personnel.
  • Use effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Possess problem-solving skills to provide solutions for customers and drive business growth.
  • Train and develop Sales on effective methods of accounts receivable, margin management, and time and territory management.
  • Train and develop Sales on sales penetration, new account sales, and business development.
  • Have a self-motivated and disciplined work ethic to drive results and achieve goals.
  • Be friendly and customer service focused to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the retail and food service distribution business.
  • Well-versed in all aspects of food distribution marketing and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis, business intelligence, and food marketing.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead others to success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to manage tasks and data.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business studies preferred.
  • At least four years of food service sales or related food service field experience required.
