Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident District Manager to oversee the operations of our dining facilities at Butler University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operations, serving as the primary contact for clients, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to students and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Direct a diverse team to meet operational and financial objectives, engage in leadership activities, and promote community building.
  • Client and Community Engagement: Represent Bon Appétit, participate in key events, and maintain client satisfaction and account retention.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary functions while ensuring compliance with all regulations and conducting audits.
  • Financial Accountability: Handle financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for the account.
  • Development and Performance Management: Encourage team development through evaluations and succession planning, with a comprehensive understanding of operational roles.

Requirements:

  • Meets USDA Professional Standards for the role.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of management experience in foodservice or related fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, service orientation, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong abilities in critical thinking, communication, multitasking, and organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, POS software, and readiness for occasional travel.
