Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development Strategy: Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitality, healthcare facilities, and other commercial projects.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development and preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids in response to client requirements and RFPs.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and foster business relationships.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the commercial construction industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the commercial construction market in South Florida, including key players, market dynamics, trends, and opportunities.
  • Network: Strong network of contacts within the commercial construction industry, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and industry associations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities, with experience in leading and managing a high-performing business development team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative business solutions.
