Position Overview

As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner. Your primary duties will include seating guests while ensuring an even distribution of tables among our service staff. You will maintain an accurate waiting list and notify guests promptly when their table is ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payments and handle transactions in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate cash handling and balance at the end of your shift.
  • Document all necessary paperwork, including voids and cash drawer reconciliations.
  • Assist with take-out orders and manage room service requests as needed.
  • Support the dining area by clearing and resetting tables, as well as aiding in the assignment of stations to servers.
  • Address guest inquiries and special requests, and manage any complaints with professionalism.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of six months of experience in cash handling or food service. Relevant certifications, such as alcohol awareness or food handler permits, may be required based on local regulations. The role may necessitate working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This position involves the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, handle food products and utensils, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and kneeling.
