Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and perform calibration for our customers' precision linear and dimensional metrology tools and gages, adhering to established company procedures.
  • Perform routine calibration for company-owned equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Manage calibration databases, monitor due dates, and generate calibration paperwork, including certificates and reports.
  • Participate in audits by external bodies and represent the calibration department, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Verify the validity of calibration methods and results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate in inter and intra-laboratory proficiency testing, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Identify and record deviations from quality systems, ensuring prompt corrective action.
  • Supervise calibration skills of those in training, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise.
  • Analyze and report calibration results, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  • Handle test and calibration equipment with care, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Calibration Technician, with a strong background in metrology and calibration.
  • Formal training in metrology, calibration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed experience with quality management systems, such as ISO-17025 and ISO-9001.
  • Knowledge of standard business software products, including Microsoft Office and Windows XP.
