Job Description
Marketing Specialist
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Job Summary:
With minimal supervision, develop and disseminate promotional and production materials for various departments within the organization; perform related tasks as assigned.
Reports to:
Director of Marketing and International Sales
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute promotional materials in both digital and print formats;
Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to produce product documentation;
Design and/or coordinate electronic presentations, including PowerPoint, instructional videos, and product animations;
Engage with field sales personnel and sales representatives to fulfill their marketing requirements;
Oversee and execute printed material fulfillment utilizing a print portal for ordering materials;
Coordinate with external consultants on various outsourced initiatives;
Assist in managing all trade show-related activities;
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure effective and safe operations; and
Consistent punctuality, attendance, and reporting of absences in accordance with company policies is crucial for the successful execution of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:
Experience/Training/Education:
Bachelor of Arts or Science in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
Experience in a marketing capacity within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, methods, and practices;
Proficient in software utilized for creating marketing materials, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator;
Strong command of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro;
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities;
Capability to interact efficiently with staff, vendors, customers, and contractors; and
Basic understanding of the functionality of the company’s products.
Physical Requirements:
Most tasks are performed indoors where the temperature is moderate and controlled by office environment systems;
Ability to work (sit and/or stand) at a desk for at least 50 percent of the workday; walking and/or standing may be required for the remainder of the workday.
The duration of these physical requirements may vary from day to day and task to task;Requires grasping, writing, sitting, standing, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, and visual acuity;
Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phones, filing cabinets, facsimile machines, photocopiers, and other office equipment as applicable;
Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, lift, and carry materials and light equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds unaided; and
Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined. Reasonable accommodations provided upon request.
