Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse II to join our team at the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as nursing standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Implement the use of Seclusion/Restraints safely and effectively
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing processes to help solve complex problems
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Current and in good standing Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or license eligible
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term or correctional setting
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, team-focused care, and a professional approach

  • Total compensation including paid time off and benefits begins at $120,408 for this role
