Responsibilities:

The Docketing and Administration Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our computerized docketing system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all patent-related records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Docket incoming mail from the USPTO, international patent offices, clients, and associates in a timely manner.
  • Manage prosecution and interference due dates for all U.S. patent cases, including USPTO and court filing deadlines.
  • Abandon cases and enter data for cases transferred to and from our firm.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data entry, including new U.S. and foreign patent, interference, and litigation case data.
  • Assist attorneys and staff with generating docket reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in U.S. and foreign patent docketing is required, with proficiency in computerized docketing systems.
  • A high school diploma is required; an undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. patent filing, prosecution, and registration procedures, along with experience with CPI and IP docketing systems, is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Word Perfect is also required.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A typing speed of 50-75 WPM is expected.

Salary Range:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $95,000 per year, plus full benefits.
