SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly experienced Facilities Engineer with over 10 years in the field to take on a Project Management role within our Houston office, focusing on the Onshore US Facilities Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess significant upstream expertise and will oversee project planning, execution, and coordination for new Central Tank Batteries, Gas Lift Compression, and Well hookup installations related to development activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize exceptional communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including operations, engineering, measurement, automation, environmental, regulatory, safety, contractors, and inspection personnel, to strategize on design, layout, equipment selection, and operational methodologies.
  • Manage, track, and report on multiple concurrent projects while ensuring adherence to safety, budgetary, and scheduling goals.
  • Leverage experience with Central Tank Batteries (CTB) facilities to analyze and propose process enhancements aimed at achieving production targets and zero-emission objectives.
  • Apply Engineering & Closed Vent Study (CVS) design standards to guarantee compliance with both corporate and regulatory requirements for new and existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with technical, maintenance, and operational teams to devise solutions for recurring design and operational challenges.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, including Scope of Work (SOW), cost estimates, Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), Project Execution Plans (PEP), and Authorization of Funds Expenditure (AFE) for project approvals.
  • Coordinate the development of construction RFQ packages in partnership with third-party engineering firms, construction foremen, and operations personnel.
  • Ensure Management of Change (MOC) processes are properly identified, coordinated, and approved as per the Scope of Work.
  • Facilitate Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR) in collaboration with engineering, construction, and operations teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in sizing and selecting production equipment, including tank working/breathing capacity, PVRV venting sizing, separator dump sizing, and blanket gas regulator sizing.
  • Familiarity with vapor recovery units, vapor destruct equipment (combustor/flare), and associated vent piping systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with modeling software such as Aspen Hysys, ProMax, and PipeSim is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards relevant to upstream Oil & Gas operations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with an onshore upstream operator or an EPC firm providing similar services is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to onshore field locations.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree in Engineering is mandatory, with preferences for petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or civil engineering, although other disciplines may be considered.
