Position Overview: The selected candidate will leverage their expertise in lean methodologies to mentor and guide the management team in implementing SES principles and tools. By actively engaging on the production floor, they will provide training and support to personnel across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General

Report directly to the Plant Manager and collaborate with division and corporate SES leaders to cultivate an understanding of corporate standards and best practices.

Serve as a champion for lean principles within the facility.
Transfer lean knowledge and expertise to the plant team through hands-on improvement initiatives.
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Continuous Improvement/ Lean Support/ Development

Enhance manufacturing efficiency by assessing and optimizing workflow, spatial requirements, and equipment arrangements.
Support problem-solving teams to ensure the production of high-quality components and maintain a safe work environment.
Identify and facilitate cost-saving measures on the production floor.
Develop and sustain training programs for supervisors, team leaders, and team members.

Launch

Employ lean tools to analyze processes and provide insights to the sales team regarding machine utilization, spatial needs, and labor requirements.

Create standardized work protocols and balance production lines for new initiatives in collaboration with manufacturing engineers.
Participate in regular launch team meetings to ensure adherence to lean guidelines.
Continuously assess maturation activities and pinpoint opportunities to minimize maturation time.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:
The qualifications listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain management is preferred. An Associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
A minimum of 3 years, preferably 5 years, of experience in implementing lean methodologies (such as the Toyota Production System) in a manufacturing environment is required.
Proven experience in applying lean tools to enhance plant performance is essential.
Familiarity with various lean tools, including standard work, MIFC, SMED, pull systems, Kaizen, and Hoshin, is necessary.
Strong interpersonal and training skills, with experience in educating teams on lean practices and leading Kaizen events.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Occasional travel may be required, up to 10% of the time.
