Key Responsibilities: Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Assistant Controller and the Property Accounting Manager.
- Participating in the property accounting review process.
- Overseeing the organization’s bookkeeping and billing functions.
- Executing additional tasks as required.
- Reviewing team reports for accuracy.
- Managing banking operations.
- Processing budgets.
- Handling coding tasks.
- Maintaining financial records, including bank books, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Managing a diverse client portfolio, encompassing both cash and accruals.
- Conducting month-end closing and reporting activities.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable along with all necessary postings.
- Preparing accounts payable lists and managing check processing.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or in a comparable accounting position.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with Adobe software is preferred.
- Experience with Yardi or similar real estate management software is advantageous.
Compensation: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.
