Job Title: Accounting and Employee Experience Generalist

The Accounting and Employee Experience Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the financial and human resources functions of Outdoor Gear Exchange. This position requires a unique blend of accounting and HR skills, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing exceptional employee experiences.

Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Process payroll, vendor payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Reconcile cash accounts, credit cards, and other financial instruments.
  • Monitor financial statements for anomalies and inaccuracies.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Employee Experience Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement employee onboarding programs to ensure a positive experience for new hires.
  • Manage employee records, including benefits, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Provide conflict resolution and support to employees, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Assist with performance improvement plans, corrective action, and termination processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
