Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the Helping Hands Program, which includes friendly visiting, telephone reassurance, pen pals, cyber-seniors, Jacob's Ladder, helping hands music, and art programs for those living with dementia.
  • Coordinate Shabbat services and holiday programs and deliveries at area assisted living communities.
  • Facilitate a monthly lunch program, including scheduling entertainment, ordering lunch, and gathering RSVPs.
  • Coordinate the annual Senior Seder in partnership with community agencies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies to facilitate Jewish holiday deliveries and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social services.
  • Experience in volunteer management and/or working with older adult populations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with professional staff and community organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills and a flexible, engaging personality.
  • Familiarity with and sensitivity to Jewish identity and its values.
