Aquatics Program Instructor

At BSA Summit Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Aquatics Program Instructor to join our team. As an Aquatics Program Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching aquatics-based merit badges and lessons to youth participants. This role requires a cheerful attitude, servant leadership disposition, and the ability to interact with men and women of all ages and maturity levels.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach aquatics-based merit badges and lessons to youth participants
  • Present in front of group sizes of 2-24 youth and transfer knowledge
  • Turn in advancement paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Assist with the set-up, maintenance, and take down of program areas
  • Participate and exhibit Scout Spirit at camp-wide programs and activities
  • Provide First Aid as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat and safe working area
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups of youth and adults

Preferred:
Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Training provided. Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work-related communication and coordination. Be or become a registered member of Scouting America.
