Are you passionate about working with youth and helping them develop essential life skills? Do you have a strong background in Scouting and a desire to inspire the next generation of leaders?

We are seeking a Scouting Adventure Leader to join our team at the BSA Summit Group. As a Scouting Adventure Leader, you will be responsible for instructing and mentoring Scouts in Scouting skills and merit badges, as well as presenting to and interacting with groups of youth to transfer knowledge and empower application of skills and concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and mentor Scouts in Scouting skills and merit badges
• Present to and interact with groups of youth to transfer knowledge and empower application of skills and concepts
• Coordinate and collect program and instructional materials and resources
• Turn in accurate advancement paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner
• Participate in camp-wide programs and activities
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and takedown of program and camping areas
• Exemplify the principles of the Scout Oath and Law and model Scout Spirit
• Maintain an inspected, clean, organized, neat, and safe work area

Requirements:

• Eighteen years of age or older
• Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of youth and adults
• Previous Scouting and/or camping experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience working with youth between the ages of 10-12 is preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work-related communication and coordination
• Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
