Job Summary

OxyChem is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in New Johnsonville, TN. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Install, program, and calibrate electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve plant problems and achieve plant goals.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including repair records and equipment history.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Instrumentation and/or Electrical Maintenance Technology preferred.
  • Five years of process instrumentation/electrical maintenance experience in industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • NCCER certification in Electrical or Instrumentation required.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with ability to work with complex electrical distribution systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires regular manual labor, including working while wearing full protective equipment and satisfying the ability to wear for respiratory use. Must be able to lift and handle bags of materials weighing up to 50 pounds, climb single-section vertical ladders up to 30 feet, and work from elevations of up to 60 feet above ground level.
