About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team at A.M. Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT). As a key member of our Water and Wastewater Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure solutions for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering design files, specifications, cost estimates, models, and reports for water/sewer projects.
  • Coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines and subconsultants.
  • Assist with client relationship building and marketing efforts.
  • Represent AMT at professional association events.
  • Support engineering staff in the preparation of construction documents.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of water distribution and sewer collection systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or other related Engineering field.
  • EIT required, PE preferred.
  • Experience in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water/sewer pipeline projects for public agencies.
  • Experience with project permitting.
  • Technical proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer a plus.
  • Experience with water and/or sewer modeling a plus.
  • Experience in designing pumping, treatment, and/or storage facilities a plus.
