Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and experience in performing and/or conducting hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, and water quality analysis of open channel and/or closed conduit stormwater collection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and/or conduct hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, and water quality analysis of open channel and/or closed conduit stormwater collection systems for large and small-scale development projects and watersheds.
  • Prepare and review one- and two-dimensional hydrologic/hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, documents and exhibits, and drainage reports.
  • Design site-specific best management practices (BMPs) to achieve permitting requirements, including conventional, low impact development, green infrastructure, and stormwater volume control BMPs.
  • Perform opinions of construction costs for stormwater-related projects, including open/closed system drainage rehabilitation, canals, and flood control structures.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • EIT registration strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Professional Engineer License within one year of hire strongly preferred.
