Role Summary:
The Retail Operations Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations within the store. This role involves guiding a diverse team, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Managers. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Retail Operations Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a productive and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor sales and technical team members to ensure a consistent five-star customer experience.
  • Achieve sales targets by developing and executing effective sales strategies and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of products and services.
  • Promote tire and service offerings to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support team members in creating a productive sales atmosphere through training and development.
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians while assisting with service and repair tasks as needed.
  • Manage staffing effectively by overseeing recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Control expenses by managing payroll, utilities, and other operational costs.
  • Oversee inventory management, including the handling of tires and parts.
  • Conduct audits of service inspections performed by team members.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it meets Monro's standards.
  • Schedule customer appointments and allocate tasks based on team members' skills for efficient service delivery.
  • Drive sales by effectively communicating product recommendations and promotions to customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding sales and services.
  • Build strong customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist team members in explaining repair and service needs to customers.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and governmental regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Safely operate and maintain all equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance while controlling costs.
  • Strong motivational skills to drive team performance.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities related to inventory and customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and customers.
  • Completion of all required training as per company guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Work Environment:
This position operates in an automotive shop setting, which may involve exposure to noise, weather conditions, and various automotive chemicals. The Retail Operations Manager should be prepared to:

  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and reaching.
