Job Opportunity: Senior Water/Waste Water Project Manager

BETA Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Waste Water Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing high-profile water and wastewater infrastructure projects for our municipal client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from conceptual to final design, overseeing technical designs, contract plans, and documents.
  • Lead multi-discipline design teams for projects at water and wastewater facilities.
  • Work with staff to produce planning documents, advance detailed engineering designs, and develop contract documents for construction.
  • Produce high-quality designs, reports, and models, ensuring proper quality control procedures on all projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, instructing them on technical procedures and reviewing their work for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with clients and drive assigned projects to completion.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and develop agreements.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Continuously broaden technical skills within the chosen discipline.
  • Lead team, client, and public meetings.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline subconsultants to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Perform business development and manage project pursuits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • 10 to 15 years of related engineering experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
  • Demonstrated strong background in environmental engineering and hydraulic modeling with software programs.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with the implementation of planning, design, bidding, and construction oversight of water and wastewater projects.
  • Skilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reports.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collect field data and measurements, and perform asset inspections for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to perform field work in both hot and cold weather.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
