Position Overview

The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in promoting and selling the comprehensive range of products and services available at Boyd's Tire, adhering to the company's established standards and expectations.

COMPENSATION : RANGES FROM $17-$20/HR, BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, both in person and over the phone, utilizing the company's standardized customer service protocols.
  • Actively listen to and document customer concerns; assess the vehicle and reference service history to accurately determine and confirm the customer's service requirements.
  • Suggest services based on your knowledge and expertise. Clearly relay any additional recommendations from the Automotive Technician to the customer, enabling them to make informed choices. Ensure all recommendations are properly recorded in the customer file.
  • Drive the sales of relevant services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the products and their associated service needs.
  • Provide customers with precise estimates that encompass costs and timelines for the services they approve. Keep customers informed throughout the day regarding the status of their services.
  • Adhere to proper procedures when finalizing a customer's transaction, including a review of the completed multi-point inspection and an explanation of applicable warranties.
  • Conduct follow-up calls post-repair and for declined services to ensure customer satisfaction for each individual client.
  • Monitor all new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for each customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Service Consultant is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Professional demeanor and a proven ability to thrive in a process-oriented environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, motor vehicle record check, and background investigation.
  • Availability to work five days a week, including Saturdays.
