Clinical Intake Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Intake Clinician to join our team at Fairbanks Native Association. As an Intake Clinician, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and providing critical support to individuals seeking admission to our behavioral health treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments to determine the appropriateness of program admission and provide immediate response to applicants.
- Facilitate routine and emergency admission disposition meetings, presenting treatment applications and referrals to the disposition treatment team.
- Perform behavioral health assessments, including integrated mental health and substance use assessments, to assess and document the nature and severity of presenting behavioral health disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, providing recommendations for services and level of care.
- Establish and maintain regular contact with individuals on the waiting list, providing interim services and referrals as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions and effective care coordination.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in human services, with direct care services performing intake-related services.
- Eligibility to be certified as a chemical dependency counselor within six months of hire.
