Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a PICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in pediatric critical care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma from a national accredited nursing school program.
  • RN License (AR or Compact State) - Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS certification (optional).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification in Pediatric Critical Care (PCCRN) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
