Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Precoat Metals, you will play a crucial role on the production floor, collaborating closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality products. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the required standards and physical testing criteria for our customers, while also working alongside the Quality Manager to address any non-conformance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with team members to promptly address quality discrepancies.
  • Compile comprehensive shift reports detailing the root causes of any quality challenges encountered.
  • Provide support as a backup to the Production Supervisor when necessary.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you should possess a minimum of a High School diploma along with at least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role, ideally within the steel, coating, or manufacturing sectors. Alternatively, experience as a production lead or group leader in a continuous production setting will be considered.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, along with timely and accurate record-keeping.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts in a manufacturing environment.
