Job Title: QA/QC II - Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC II - Technician to join our team at Stronghold Specialty, Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating QA/QC activities, ensuring quality of work, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and administer Quality System activities at the job site, ensuring all work meets regulatory, customer, and company quality requirements.
  • Interact with customer representatives on hold and inspection points.
  • Review disassembly/assembly procedures, customer specifications, and Code requirements.
  • Establish testing requirements, hold points, and compile quality documentation for the project.
  • Ensure project execution meets code/jurisdictional requirements, customer specifications, and company specifications.
  • Schedule inspections and examinations with subcontractors and customer representatives.
  • Inspect all permanent materials.
  • Inspect and examine in-progress work to ensure activities meet applicable code/jurisdictional, customer specification, and company requirements.
  • Complete and sign applicable forms as instructed by the company.
  • Ensure welders' qualifications are current and meet requirements.
  • Provide vendor surveillance as needed and directed.
  • Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Follow all company Safety, Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
  • See, read, write, and understand communication, including directions, instructions, and warning signs.
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraints and adverse conditions.
  • Attend and complete trainings as required by the company and client.
  • Pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of petrochemical/refinery industry and required knowledge of Quality System standards.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Class A driver's license and clean MVR.
  • Valid TWIC.
  • Basic Plus training.
  • Confined Space training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree.
  • 12 months quality and inspection experience in related industry.
  • Valid TWIC.
  • Certified ISO 9001.
  • Certifications may be required, including AWC-CWI/CAWI, API 510-Pressure Vessels, API 570-Piping, API 653-Storage Tanks, ASNT SNT-TC-IA Level II-Film Interpretation (RT), ASNT SNT-TC-IA Level II-Penetrant Testing (PT), ASNT SNT-TC-IA Level II-Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), ASNT SNT-TC-IA Level II-Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and OSHA 10/30 training.
