Job Title: Office Manager, Parking and Transportation Services

Job Summary:

The Office Manager, Parking and Transportation Services will oversee the daily operations of the parking programs on campus. This role is responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining office operations in an efficient and courteous manner, in accordance with all Santa Clara University guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement daily parking operations
  • Manage day-to-day operations and administration
  • Ensure parking policy and regulations are adhered to and enforced in a fair and equitable manner
  • Process online parking permit applications and assign parking permits
  • Follow up and communicate any permit application issues
  • Oversee the process of issuing complimentary permits to participants of programs such as Carpool, Bicycle Commuter, Mass Transit, etc.
  • Provide and oversee the highest level of customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest level of service in accordance with Santa Clara University Transportation Services standards
  • Provide customer service activities for the office, responding to phone inquiries and walk-ins, providing general information, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Approve student assistant timecards
  • Coordinate and work with parking attendants and parking enforcement officers on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinate and facilitate street/lot closures for other University departments, to support maintenance, services, and projects
  • Prepare street/lot closure logistics documents and communicate plans to Campus Safety as needed
  • Receive in-house parking citation payments and communicate with the citation agency to ensure payment is credited
  • Maintain business relationships and communication with vendors and outside agencies
  • Provide evaluation of operations and suggest changes as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation and Parking Services

Requirements:

  • Understanding and knowledge in on-campus transportation programs
  • Ability to become proficient with multiple 'back-office' management software systems
  • Demonstrate an understanding of diverse cultures and a respect for those differences
  • Understanding and support of the Jesuit tradition of education and a commitment to the fundamental values of service to others, community, and diversity, as well as a commitment to and demonstrated skills, knowledge, and awareness to serve the unique needs of the diverse campus community at Santa Clara University

Working Conditions:

The work environment involves frequent interruptions and some exposure to loud or prolonged noise levels from equipment. Employees will generally work in an indoor office environment with windows.
