Patient Access Representative II

Vail Health is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient registration and administrative support services.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify patient information for registration, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues to resolve non-clinical questions and provide excellent customer service.
- Request payment of financial responsibility from patients/guarantors and refer them to financial assistance programs when applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of authorizations and complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires in accordance with CMS standards.
- Support departmental data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts, and perform ongoing documentation audits for medical necessity and plan of care.
- Work in various patient settings and locations, and at times remotely.
- Attend and provide feedback for departmental staff meetings, and help train and educate new staff.
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and access online forms and policies.
