About the Opportunity

Vail Health is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient registration and administrative support services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Obtain and verify patient information for registration, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues to resolve non-clinical questions and provide excellent customer service.
  3. Request payment of financial responsibility from patients/guarantors and refer them to financial assistance programs when applicable.
  4. Maintain accurate records of authorizations and complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires in accordance with CMS standards.
  5. Support departmental data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts, and perform ongoing documentation audits for medical necessity and plan of care.
  6. Work in various patient settings and locations, and at times remotely.
  7. Attend and provide feedback for departmental staff meetings, and help train and educate new staff.
Requirements
  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and access online forms and policies.
