Overview:

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a dedicated Acquisition Administrative Coordinator to provide essential support to our Department of Defense procurement and contracting operations. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance by updating and formatting documents, ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Collaborate with government procurement teams to formulate acquisition strategies, develop work statements, and evaluate vendor qualifications.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation within SharePoint, tracking contract actions and generating detailed reports.
  • Draft, prepare, and coordinate various reports and acquisition documentation, including RFPs, SOWs, CDRLs, and J&As.
  • Support the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Team Lead with contract management, proposal assessments, and urgent tasks.
  • Facilitate communication among Subject Matter Experts and maintain organized archives in SharePoint.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase requests for both small and large acquisitions.
  • Support meetings, design reviews, audits, working groups, and briefings.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a DoD environment.
  • Willingness to learn about the DoD Acquisition process and the role of a Program Office.
  • Strong intrinsic motivation to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).
